Salman Khan sticks to no-kissing rule, says it doesn’t matter to him

Mumbai, Jul 5: There are actors, and then there’s Salman Khan — Bollywood’s beloved Bhaijaan, who has ruled hearts for over three decades. But one thing that sets him apart is his long-standing ‘no-kissing policy’ on screen, a rule that continues to intrigue fans and filmmakers alike.

Recently, during a segment of The Kapil Sharma Show, comedian Kapil Sharma playfully questioned Salman about his refusal to kiss co-stars in his romantic roles. To this, the superstar calmly replied, “Dekho kiss toh main karta nahi screen pe, toh mujhe toh koi farak padta nai (I don’t kiss on screen, so it makes no difference to me).”

Joining Salman on the show were his brothers Arbaaz and Sohail Khan. Adding a humorous twist, Arbaaz chimed in, “Woh itna kar lete hain off-screen ki zaroorat hi nahi padti (He does so much off-screen that there’s no need for it on-screen)!” leaving the audience in splits.

Salman has rarely deviated from this rule. One of the few exceptions was in the 90s film Jeet, opposite Karisma Kapoor. In 2017, it was reported that he even refused to kiss Katrina Kaif in Tiger Zinda Hai, despite the scene being crucial to the plot. Director Ali Abbas Zafar reportedly tried to convince him, but Salman didn’t budge, and the scene was eventually dropped.

Salman Khan was last seen in Sikandar opposite Rashmika Mandanna, and continues to make headlines — with or without a kiss.
