Mangaluru: Traffic police urge vehicle owners to pay pending fines by July 15 or face legal action

Mangaluru, June 25: The Mangaluru City Police Commissionerate has issued a public advisory urging vehicle owners to clear pending traffic fines by July 15, 2025, or face legal action. The notice follows the documentation of traffic violations captured either by police personnel on duty or through CCTV footage at the Traffic Control & Command Centre.

Traffic violation cases are being registered based on photographic and video evidence. Notices have already been sent via post to the registered owners of vehicles found violating traffic rules. However, many have failed to pay the fines, leading to a backlog of unsettled cases.

The traffic police have warned that failure to pay the fines by the due date will result in the filing of charge sheets against the respective vehicle owners in court. Following this, legal proceedings such as the issuance of summons or warrants will be initiated by the court.

Vehicle owners who have received notices are therefore urged to make the necessary payments promptly to avoid legal complications.

How to check for violations and pay traffic fines:
