Hyderabad, Jun 24: In a shocking incident on the outskirts of Hyderabad, a 16-year-old girl allegedly conspired with her boyfriend and his younger brother to murder her mother, who had objected to their relationship. The woman, identified as Anjali, was reportedly strangled while performing puja at their home in Medchal under the Jeedimetla police station limits late Monday evening.
According to the police, the teenage girl, a class X student, had recently eloped with her 19-year-old boyfriend. She returned home three days ago after her mother lodged a police complaint. Enraged by her mother's opposition to the affair, the girl is believed to have planned the murder with the help of her boyfriend and his brother.

Jeedimetla police inspector G Mallesh said the accused initially attempted to strangle Anjali but returned to ensure she had died. “They later attacked her face and head, causing visible bleeding injuries,” said Anjali's sister, demanding justice for the gruesome act.
Police suspect the fatal head injury may have resulted from the victim hitting the wall during the attack. “We are awaiting the post-mortem report to confirm the cause of death,” Inspector Mallesh said.
While the girl and her boyfriend’s younger brother have been sent to a juvenile remand home, authorities are verifying the boyfriend’s age, as his Aadhaar card claims he is over 18, but such documents are not conclusive in court.
The murder has sent shockwaves across the locality, highlighting the growing concerns around teen violence and strained family relationships.
