“Symbol of service and strength”: PM Modi, nation extend heartfelt birthday wishes to Prez Murmu

New Delhi, Jun 20: Warm tributes poured in from across the country as President Droupadi Murmu celebrated her birthday on Friday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the nation in extending his wishes to the country’s first tribal woman President.

In a moving post on X, PM Modi praised the President’s unwavering dedication to public service, saying her life was a source of strength and inspiration to millions. “Her commitment to social justice and inclusive development is a beacon of hope... May she be blessed with a long and healthy life in service of the people,” he wrote.

Joining him were senior leaders from across the political spectrum who celebrated Murmu’s journey from humble beginnings to the highest constitutional office.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hailed her rise from grassroots to Rashtrapati Bhavan as a shining reflection of Indian democracy. BJP National President J.P. Nadda lauded her work in uplifting tribal communities, education, and healthcare, calling her dedication to “Viksit Bharat” truly inspirational.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin also conveyed their good wishes, praying for her continued good health and long life.

President Murmu, who took oath as the 15th President of India on July 25, 2022, has carved a niche as a dignified symbol of inclusivity and social empowerment. With her tenure as Governor of Jharkhand (2015–2021) and a long-standing commitment to marginalised communities, she has emerged as a true embodiment of simplicity, resilience, and constitutional grace.

As she marked another year of life and service, India saluted a President who continues to inspire crores with her humility and strength.
