Ras Al Khaimah, Jun 3: Motorists in Ras Al Khaimah are being urged to drive carefully as dense fog has severely reduced visibility across several areas this morning. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather alert warning that thick fog is expected to linger until 8:00 AM, making driving conditions hazardous on key routes.

Areas including Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, Al Jazeera, and Al Hamra are currently enveloped in fog, posing significant challenges for commuters. Authorities have advised drivers to reduce speed, maintain safe distances, and stay vigilant on the roads.

Apart from fog, the day’s weather will be marked by dusty conditions and partly cloudy skies, accompanied by a gradual drop in temperatures. Coastal and island areas are expected to see highs between 39°C and 42°C, while inland regions may experience temperatures soaring up to 47°C. Mountainous zones will remain cooler, with temperatures ranging from 29°C to 36°C.

Northwest winds blowing at 15 to 30 km/h, with occasional stronger gusts, are stirring up dust and sand, potentially further limiting visibility. Sea conditions are expected to be rough in the Arabian Gulf, while the Oman Sea will be slightly to moderately agitated. Mariners are strongly advised to navigate with caution amid these challenging conditions.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation and will issue further updates as necessary to ensure public safety.
