Konkani comedy film Fondacho Misther set to be screened in Bahrain after successful coastal run

Bahrain, Jun 1: After making waves with his debut film Lucky Draw 777, which successfully completed 50 screenings, filmmaker Rayan Magneto returns with another cinematic offering for Konkani audiences — Fondacho Misther. The film, released on April 25 in Mangaluru and Udupi, is enjoying an impressive run in theatres, playing to houseful audiences across the coastal belt of Karnataka.

Riding on the wave of positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth, Fondacho Misther is now set to entertain international audiences with a special screening scheduled in Bahrain. The film will be showcased on June 6, 2025, at 6:00 pm at EPIX Cinemas, Dana Mall.

A full-length comedy, Fondacho Misther is directed by Rayan Magneto, who also plays a key role in the film. The script and production have been handled by Melwyn Pernal, while the music is composed by the talented Prajoth D’Sa. The film’s visuals are captured by cinematographer Allwyn Sequeira, adding depth to a project that boasts the talents of over 40 artistes from the Mangaluru region.

The film is being lauded for its humor, relatable storytelling, and strong cultural connection, making it a must-watch for Konkani-speaking audiences.
