Bengaluru, May 29: In a move to promote spiritual tourism within the city, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has announced the launch of a new package tour named ‘Divya Darshana’. The service, which starts on May 31, will run on weekends and public holidays.
Following the popularity of initiatives like ‘Bengaluru Darshini’ and a special trip to the Isha Foundation—which together attracted over 50,000 passengers last year—BMTC now offers this curated spiritual tour aboard air-conditioned buses.

Transport inimster Ramalinga Reddy said the tour would depart from Kempegowda Bus Station (Majestic) at 8:30 am and return by 6:05 pm each operating day. “This initiative not only celebrates the city’s spiritual heritage but also provides a comfortable and affordable way for devotees and tourists to visit some of Bengaluru’s most revered temples,” he said. The move is expected to increase BMTC revenue and encourage more public transport usage.
However, residents have urged BMTC to introduce pick-up points in multiple parts of the city to make the service more accessible.
The one-day itinerary includes visits to the following eight prominent temples:
-
Sri Gali Anjaneya Swamy Temple
-
