Former students of Kunjalu Vishwakeerthi school launch beautification drive

Brahmavar, May 20: In a heartfelt display of community spirit and commitment to education, the alumni and well-wishers of Kunjalu Vishwakeerthi Higher Primary School organised a voluntary cleanliness and painting drive on the school premises.

The event was inaugurated by Subrahmanya Basri, president of the newly formed school development committee, who lit the ceremonial lamp. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “A clean and welcoming school environment not only attracts students but also inspires them to learn better. Educational institutions should foster an academic atmosphere enriched by values of discipline, creativity, and cleanliness. This century-old institution, with its glorious legacy, is now on a path of holistic development with a vision of progress.”









The school administrator and chief guest, Dhananjaya Amin, initiated the painting activity by applying the first coat to a school wall. He pledged his full support to the committee's vision for preserving and enhancing the institution.

Geetha Baliga, PDO of Neelavara village, addressed the gathering and recalled the continuous support extended by the village panchayat to save and sustain the school. She reaffirmed the community’s dedication to safeguarding the school’s future.

The formal programme was followed by an active cleanliness and painting drive, in which alumni and supporters took part with great enthusiasm, contributing both time and labour to restore and beautify the school.

Treasurer Tammayya Naik welcomed the gathering, alumnus Raghavendra Kamath compered the programme, and Krishnananda Kamath proposed the vote of thanks. Grama Panchayat vice president Ramesh and alumnus Rajesh were also present on the occasion.
