AIMIT partners with DEEDS to empower MBA students through service-learning initiative

Media Release

Mangaluru, May 16: The department of MBA at St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) AIMIT Centre signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DEEDS (Development Education Service) on May 15, marking the beginning of a meaningful collaboration under the Service-Learning Project (SLP) for final-semester MBA students.

This initiative is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in addressing social challenges, particularly focusing on the rights and empowerment of women and the girl child. Through this partnership, students will engage in field-based learning, contributing to real-world change while developing critical social and leadership skills.

DEEDS, a well-established NGO based in Mangaluru, is known for its commitment to social justice, gender equality, child rights, and women’s empowerment. The organization works extensively with marginalized communities through a range of programs including awareness campaigns, educational outreach, and advocacy efforts.

This collaboration aligns with AIMIT’s vision of holistic education, bridging academic knowledge with community engagement, and preparing students to become socially responsible leaders of tomorrow.
