New Delhi, Apr 30: As many as 82% of Indian employees are planning to change jobs in the next 12 months, with health, wellness, and work-life balance emerging as top priorities, according to a new report by Aon, a global professional services firm.
The report highlights that Indian worker now value work-life balance, medical coverage, career development, paid time off, and retirement savings as the top five benefits when considering a job switch.
Interestingly, Gen Z prioritizes work-life balance, while Gen X and Gen Y rate medical benefits highest. A significant 76% of employees are even willing to trade current benefits for more suitable offerings, indicating a shift in employee expectations.
“Post-Covid, companies are realizing the power of wellness programmes in shaping their employer brand,” said Nitin Sethi, Head of Talent Solutions, Aon India. He noted that the multigenerational workforce and advancing tech are driving faster adoption of such strategies.
Ashley D’Silva, director of Health and Wealth Solutions at Aon India, added that the growing interest in retirement and financial planning among younger workers is a surprising but positive trend.
Based on responses from over 9,000 employees across 23 countries, including India, the report also found that better pay (46%), social responsibility (24%), and support for wellbeing (22%) are key traits that attract talent today.
