Bantwal, Apr 23: A fire accident at Ruskin Complex on Aramane Road in Vittal gutted two shops, causing significant damage.

Members of the local Friends Vittal team, led by Muralidhar, acted swiftly by bringing water in a pickup vehicle and attempting to douse the flames.

Firefighters from Puttur Fire and Emergency Services later arrived at the spot and succeeded in completely extinguishing the fire.

    Very sad that two shops were gutted.It must be a great loss when any fire beginns.There are two types of fire.One by natural by causing electricity failure.Other one is very destructive when people brake in for theft and later put fire so that not to find their fingerprints or doubt anyone.Hope they were insured well and get their money.
