Brahmavar, Apr 4: A bike collided with a tipper truck at Petri Junction on Friday April 4, claiming the life of one person, while another was critically injured.

The deceased has been identified as Deekshith, while Abhishek, who sustained critical injuries, has been shifted to a private hospital for treatment.

Both were natives of Sasthan and worked at a hardware shop.

The accident occurred when the bike they were riding crashed into the tipper. Deekshith succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

First of all, heartfelt condolences to the family. Secondly, I want to address two issues in Pethri that I believe are serious concerns. Unfortunately, it seems like people either don’t want to talk about them or simply don’t care. The authorities or those responsible should take these matters seriously and act accordingly. 1. The Junction Issue: The road at the junction is too wide, and vehicles tend to take sharp turns to switch routes—exactly what happened in this recent incident. The barricades were not placed properly, which made it easier for vehicles to make dangerous turns. I strongly believe the divider should be extended further, so vehicles are forced to slow down and wait before turning. I've also heard of another incident that occurred at the same spot a few months ago, which unfortunately also resulted in a fatality. This clearly indicates a pattern, and the authorities must take responsibility and fix the issue before more lives are lost. 2. Near the Church: There should be a proper opening in the divider to access the church. I’ve observed many people taking the wrong side of the road to get there quickly, increasing the risk of accidents. Interestingly, I’ve seen proper divider gaps near temples, but not near the church. I mention this not to favor anyone—I’m a Hindu myself—but because it’s a fair comparison in this context. Equal safety considerations should be given to all religious places, regardless of faith. These are issues that need public attention, and this message serves as an online complaint from my side. Please don’t take offense. If this doesn’t concern you, kindly ignore it. If you are thinking who am I then- I'm just a concerned citizen raising awareness online. Tomorrow it could be you or me!
