Kuwait: Nava Chethana Yuvaka Mandala Celebrates Christmas, New Year

Kuwait, Jan 7: Newly-formed 'Nava Chethana Yuvaka Mandala, Kuwait', a non-profit association born to reach and serve the needy, destitute and less-fortunate people who are working in this part of desert land, celebrated Christmas and New Year twin-celebrations at Foke hall, Mangaf recently.

The fun-filled evening programme was inaugrated with lighting of the lamp by guests Vivec Belman, Ronald D'Souza Mulky, Divin Menda Bajpe and Lokanath Shetty Kateel, in the presence of president of the Sangha Praveen Rai Maroli, vice-president Raygon Luis and general secretary Purushotham Kukyan Kodimbady. It was followed by a traditional prayer by Doddayya Poojary, Kateel.

The special event of the day "Christmas Day" celebration started with prayer and cutting the cake. Cultural secretary Anill Shetty Uppala anchored the entire programme.

Santa Claus distributed sweets and gifts to the audience. Many energetic, multi-talented members showed their talent through skits, dance, singing, and mimicry.

The participants were awarded with gifts. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by the general secretary, who expreseed gratitude to all the members of the sangha for making the programme a success and a memorable one. A delicious dinner was served and the programme ended with group dance by members of the sangha.
