Notice issued to Prajwal Revanna in sex scandal case: Union Min Pralhad Joshi

Bengaluru, May 26 (IANS) Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Saturday said that the Central government has issued the notice to Prajwal Revanna, the prime accused in the sex video scandal, on May 25.

“Prajwal’s passport will not be cancelled if Chief Minister Siddaramaiah engages in politics after writing letters to the Prime Minister and Ministry of External Affairs,” Joshi told the media persons.

He said that the Karnataka Police Department should either provide the official notification to the Central government or provide a court order regarding the matter.

“SIT recently provided information to the Centre. Official information was given a month after the scandal came to light on May 21. However, the Central government took immediate action against Prajwal. There is a 10-day window to act once information is passed from the state to the Centre,” he said.

He said that instead of politicising the case, Prajwal should be brought back from the foreign country.

“The Chief Minister, who is himself an advocate, should know that as per the rules, the Police Department should have issued a notice, and specific details of the case should have been sent to the Center along with the FIR,” he said.

Joshi alleged that the state government allowed Prajwal Revanna to fly to a foreign country and then started pointing fingers at the Centre.

“Why the police did not take action after the scandal came to light on April 21. Prajwal escaped to a foreign country on April 28,” he said.

He is telling lies over lies. To cover one lie he has told 7 lies here. How can notice be issued to Prajwal if he is untraceable as claimed by BJP?????…..At international airports immigration counter there are no state govt employees but central govt employees who look after passengers visa, immigration clearance and passport validity. Any passport diplomatic or non diplomatic is under govt control and can be cancelled by the govt for security reasons. How a foreigner Michele Christen brought to India for interrogation by the govt without court intervention??????……Central govt said it has sent blue corner notice to 196 countries to extradite Prajwal to india. But now this union minister Prahlad is saying that Prajwal can not to be brought back now and his passport can not be cancelled. This is complete U- turn by BJP govt from its earlier fake narrative. This is what happens when lies are told over lies losing the link and connection exposing the whole mattter.

such a critical/serious matter and Central government started playing blame games and legal procedural aspects in the matter. It's a clear indication how BJP top heads wanted to delay the process in order to make some alternative escape route for Prajjwal. PM's movements shows that he is interested more on political goal then taking quick action on the National culprit. Just imagine how our country is advancing. Talk politics, play politics, fight politics, threaten by political power and talk fake for political gains.😫🥵
