Bengaluru, Apr 23: Opposition BJP has lodged a complaint against State Chief Secretary Dr Rajneesh Goel for allowing the ruling Congress party to hold their protest dharna against the Centre’s step-motherly treatment to Karnataka in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue before Vidhana Soudha.

BJP opposition leader R Ashok said the BJP has lodged a complaint against the Chief Secretary and the Congress leaders for holding protest in front of the Gandhi statue before Vidhana Soudha.

He claimed that the ruling party has misused the Vidhana Soudha on three to four times so far.

Addressing the media, Ashok said the Centre had sought the Election Commission’s permission to release drought funds to the State and had informed this to the Supreme Court besides indicating that a decision will be taken soon. “The Congress party is claiming this as a victory, which is not true,” he contended.

The BJP leader demanded that the murder of the Hubballi student Neha Hiremath must be entrusted to the CBI and not CID.

Ashok defended the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the mangalasutra of Hindu women will be taken and distributed to the Muslims and pointed out that former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh had said in Parliament that Muslims have a right to the nation’s wealth.

The BJP also released posters and handbills against on the “pickpocket Congress” and “chippu (shell) to Kannadigas to counter the ruling Congress party’s full page advertisement on “Chombu” (slang for empty pot) against the Centre’s injustice to Karnataka and Kannadigas.
