Fakira Dingaleshwara Swamiji withdraws nomination from Dharwad seat

Dharwad, April 22: Fakira Dingaleshwara Swamiji of Shirahatti who had submitted his nomination to contest as an independent against union minister and senior BJP leader Prahlad Joshi from Dharwad has withdrawn his nomination at the deputy commissioner's office.

Sachin Patil who had come to withdraw the nomination on behalf of the Swamiji said that the nomination was withdrawn on directions of Dingaleshwara Swamiji.

The in-charge minister Sathosh Lad succeeded in withdrawing the nomination. The Swamiji was persuaded to withdraw his nomination under the intervention of Vachana Shree at a private hotel in Hubballi on Monday, April 22 in the morning.

As Dingaleshwara seer has backed down, there will be now be a direct fight between Prahlad Joshi and Vinod Asuti to win the Dharwad seat.
