Udupi, Apr 16: A section of the National Highway 66 Udupi Santhekatte underpass project has been completed and will be open for vehicular traffic starting April 17, Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna has announced.
The previous unscientific layout of the national highway often led to traffic congestion at Santhekatte. Recognizing this issue, MP Shobha Karandlaje prioritized the construction of the underpass, which has now been completed, ensuring smoother traffic flow. It may be recalled that Daijiworld had extensively reported on the issue from the past several months.
The announcement ensures that the traffic issue along the Santhekatte National Highway, particularly on Under Pass Road, will be resolved. Additionally, work on the remaining section of the underpass will commence soon.
