Moodbidri: Class 10 student dies of brain fever

Moodbidri, Apr 16: A female student from Mount Carmel School in Shirtadi tragically passed away from brain fever on Sunday at a private hospital in Mangaluru.

The deceased has been identified as Swasthi Shetty, a 15-year-old 10th-grade student at Mount Carmel School.

Swasthi was known for her talents in throwball and dance.

Her father, Satish Shetty, works in Goa, while her mother, Saritha Shetty, is employed at the Navamaitri Multipurpose Cooperative Society in Shirtadi. Originally from Waltady, the family currently resides in Moodbidri.

    May her soul RIP! Very tragic and unfortunate! Incidentally; a few months ago Zika virus was found in some place in Chikballapur and people were advised to be extra cautious of mosquitoes!!
