Kasargod: Mother kills self, two sons found dead after consuming poison

Kasaragod, Apr 9: The mortal remains of a mother and her two children were found near Chimeni following an incident that took place in Chembrakana.

The deceased are identified as Ranjith’s wife Sajeena, 34, sons Gautam, 9, and Tejas, 6 who hail from Chembrakan.

This incident came to light on Tuesday, April 9, in the afternoon. The children were found dead after consuming poison while the mother Sajeena was found dead after she had cut off the nerve of her hand before hanging herself.

Sajeena Peringo was working as a clerk in Vayakkara Panchayat office.

On getting the information, Chimeni police rushed to the spot and have begun investigation.

The reason for taking the extreme step is not known and the police are investigating.
