Mangaluru: Two arrested over theft of valuables from house

Mangaluru, Apr 6: Bajpe police arrested two accused in connection with the theft of valuables worth Rs 1.4 lac from the house of K Yuvaraj Acharya, a resident of Badaga Edapadavu Tiplebettu.

Ravi Shetty (55), residing in Urkibettu Jwaara Mane of Badaga Edapadavu, and Shivaprasad Shetty (29), residing in Kallasanka of Todar village in Moodbidri, are the apprehended individuals.

A case was filed on April 3 for the theft of cables, a fan, and the door and window of the house, after the lock was broken. The police have confiscated all the stolen valuables.

The police team, led by Inspector Nandishwar B. Kumbara of Bajpe police station, includes PSI Gurappa Kanti, Revana Siddappa, Ravi N N, Shobha R., ASI Rama Poojary, and head-constables Sujan, Purushottama, Rasheed, Devappa Hosamani, Basavaraj Patil, and Prakash Chidananda.
