Kasargod: ATM cash robbery: Tirut gang from Tamil Nadu involved in crime

Kasargod, Apr 5: The police have received information that the gang responsible for robbing Rs. 50 lakh in cash in broad daylight, which was intended to be loaded into the ATM of a private bank, belongs to the infamous Tirut gang of Tamil Nadu.

It is reported that there were 30 men in the gang that carried out the robbery. This gang is known for involvement in illegal spirit transportation, in addition to activities such as looting, dacoity, and theft. It is understood that this gang does not maintain a permanent residence and frequently relocates. They meticulously plan their robberies and execute them with precision.

According to reports, the gang arrived from Mangaluru and departed via auto rickshaw to Kasargod railway station after the robbery. However, the police are unaware of their final destination after leaving Kasargod.

The Kasargod police have requested assistance from the Karnataka and Tamil Nadu police to apprehend the notorious Tirut gang.
