Mangaluru: Srinivas University to organize ‘Tech Yuva 24’, ‘Kalaspandana 24’ on Mar 26, 28

Mangaluru, Mar 22: Srinivas University Institute of Engineering and Technology has initiated a proud tradition of organizing Tech Yuva, a national level techno cultural and sports fest in the year 2013 with the aim of providing a platform to showcase the talents of the younger generation. This year, ‘Tech Yuva-24’ will be held on March 26 (Tuesday) and March 27 (Wednesday). The first edition of Tech Yuva was organised eleven years ago. Every year, around 400 participants from different engineering colleges from Karnataka and nearby states (Goa, Tamil Nadu, Kerala) have participated in the event. 

Dr A S Kiran K Rajanna (CEO, Ethnotech Academic Solutions, Bengaluru) and Praveen Kalbhavi (CEO, Novigo Solutions Pvt Ltd, Mangaluru) has agreed to be the chief guest of this mega event on March 26. 

On Thursday, March 28, there will be cultural extravaganza ‘Kalaspandana-24’ for the students. Vidwan Shridhar Holla, renowned Bharatanatyam artiste will be the chief guest of the event.

Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University will preside over both the functions. Dr A Srinivas Rao (pro chancellor, Srinivas University) will be the guest of honour. A Vijayalakshmi R Rao (member, board of governors, Srinivas University), Prof A Mitra S Rao (member, board of governors, Srinivas University), Dr Sathyanarayana Reddy (vice chancellor, Srinivas University), Dr Adithya Kumar Mallya (registrar, academic and development), Dr Anil Kumar (registrar), Dr Shrinivasa Maya D (registrar evaluation), Dr Ajay K G (registrar development), Dr Thomas Pinto (dean, SUIET Mukka), Prof Shrinath Rao K (convener, Tech Yuva-24), Prof Shwetha Pai (convener, Kalaspandana-24), Abhin Ral and Sowmya (student coordinators, Tech Yuva-24), Thilak Shettigar and Antharya (student coordinators, Kalaspandana-24) will be present.

The fest promises to bring together engineering students from affiliated colleges from different parts of Karnataka. This year, 1000 plus participants are expected for the mega event with a gathering of around 3500 plus engineering students over two days. A wide range of technical competitions namely Al genesis, binary battle, tech talk, debugging challenge, mock press, technical quiz, project expo, just a minute, line follower, botscore challenge, robo-soccer, mind prints, web craft, bug scout, model making, and other competitions will be conducted on the first day (March 26), cultural and sports events namely singing, solo and group dance, arm wrestling, football, dance battle, carrom, badminton, volleyball, stand-up comedy, halloween ramp-walk, mad ads, table tennis, photography, bgmi, collage, cricket, reel making, treasure hunt will be conducted on the second day (March 27) for mechanical, civil, electronics & communication, computer science, cyber security and cyber forensics, AIML, robotics, aircraft maintenance engineering, diploma and first grade degree students of other colleges.

Sports events will be organised on both the days. Tech Yuva-24 includes more than 50 different varieties of competitions in technical, cultural, literary and sports category. A special DJ event is organized on March 27 at 3 pm for the participants.
