England Play Six Tests, 13 ODIs and Four T-20s Next Summer


London, Sep 30 (IANS): The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced a hectic international schedule for next summer for World No.1 Test team England who play with the West Indies, Australia and South Africa six Tests, 13 One-Day Internationals (ODI) and four Twenty20 Internationals in 2012.

England kick off the international season with a three-Test series against the West Indies followed by three ODIs and one Twenty20 International. They then play five ODIs against Australia before taking on South Africa in three Tests, five ODIs and three Twenty20 games.

The West Indies will play their Tests at Lord's, Trent Bridge and Edgbaston, ODIs at the Rose Bowl, The Oval and Headingley and the Twenty20 at Trent Bridge.

Australia play their ODIs at Lord's, The Oval, Edgbaston, Chester-le-Street and Old Trafford. Then they will play one ODI against Scotland.

South Africa play Tests at The Oval, Headingley and Lord's, the ODIs at Cardiff, Rose Bowl, The Oval, Lord's and Trent Bridge and the Twenty20s at Chester-le-Street, Old Trafford and Edgbaston.

West Indies itinerary:

May 5-7: Three-day tour match vs Sussex (Hove)
May 10-13: Four-day tour match vs England Lions (Northampton)
May 17-21: 1st Test (Lord's)
May 25-29: 2nd Test (Trent Bridge)
June 2-3: Two-day tour match v Leicestershire (Grace Road)
June 7-11: Third Test (Egbaston)
Jun 13: One-day tour match v Middlesex (Lord's)
June 16: 1st ODI (Rose Bowl)
June 19: 2nd ODI (The Oval)
June 22: 3rd ODI (Headingley)
June 24: Only T20 (Trent Bridge)

Australia itinerary:

June 21: One-day tour match vs Leicestershire (Grace Road)
June 23: Only ODI vs Ireland (Stormont)
June 26: One-day tour match vs Essex (Chelmsford) Day/Night
June 29: 1st ODI (Lord's)
July 1: 2nd ODI (The Oval)
July 4: 3rd ODI (Edgbaston)
July 7: 4th ODI (Chester-le-Street)
July 10: 5th ODI (Old Trafford)

Scotland:

Aug 12: Only ODI (venue to be chosen)
