Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Feb 28: In a heart-breaking turn of events, the bodies of four missing students were discovered at the Haleyangadi Koppala dam railway bridge.

The students, identified as Yashwith (15) and Niroopa (15) from Surathkal, Raghavendra (15) from Thokur, and Anvith (15), were all students of Vidyadayini School, studying for their SSLC exams.

The ordeal began when the students failed to return home after attending a preparatory exam. Concerned, their families filed a missing complaint at Surathkal police station.

CCTV footage revealed that the students had boarded a bus to Haleyangadi. Further tracing through tower locations, aided by the presence of one student's mobile phone, led authorities to their belongings - bags, footwear, and uniforms, near the river.

With the help of local residents, the bodies of the four students were eventually located at the Haleyangadi Koppala dam railway bridge.

The Surathkal police have filed a case.

Heart breaking news. Let God give enough strength to respective parents to bear this huge loss. All education institutions should reserve weekly one hour class as life saving tactics including swimming's, yoga, martial arts, etc. So that at least we can save some life from these type of tragic.

Too much pressures kids go through by schools who want 100% results to get more enrolment in their schools which is a tool to raise donations and fee. As 1 or 2 kids is a norm and both parents working which might be another reason for parents to place more pressure to score more marks to get seats in prestigious colleges is another brick in the wall . There are no jobs even after studies and putting too much pressure on immature kids is the root cause of these tragedies.

RIP. Condolences and Prayers for the breaved family members and loved ones. Mainly They should be taught that they are gods as Holy Scripture says and any failures in lives can be overcome over the time by correction. Otherwise Satan (their Own Negative thoughts) takes them to river or take lives by some other way for some failures or mistakes in life. RIP again.

Too much pressure on students in this competitive studies. Students use Mobile more than the books. Because parents are spending more time on mobiles. That what childrens note. No attention to studies. That what I believe.

A very sad incident. May their soul rest in peace Failure in exams is not the end of the world. Schools, District administration and Parents have a role to play in explaining to students that there are so many successful people in the world who have not gone to school/ are school drop outs.
