Girders of Indrali steel bridge reach Udupi, installation in next 10 days

Udupi, Feb 24: The construction work on the Udupi to Manipal National Highway Indrali Railway Bridge has witnessed progress after many years.

The girder required for the construction of the Indrali Railway Bridge has arrived from Hubballi.

Construction of this girder, weighing 420 tonnes, took several months at the Hubballi workshop. The girder was sent to Udupi after inspection and approval by the Indian Railway Research Design and Standard Organization (RDSO).

In the next 10 days, the girder will be installed, according to officials concerned.

Currently, the highway authority is working closely with railway traffic management and the railway control room to coordinate the train running schedule.
