Mangaluru. Feb 17: In response to the recent controversy surrounding a school headmistress claim of being under pressure to dismiss a teacher at St Gerosa School, district in-charge minister and minister for health and family welfare, Dinesh Gundu Rao addressed the issue, highlighting the importance of handling such matters with caution.

He stated, "When students gather and protest, putting pressure is inevitable. However, this is not an acceptable method to address such issues. We need to question where this societal unrest will end." He emphasized the ongoing investigation led by Akash Shankar, additional commissioner of the education department in Kalaburagi, urging a thorough examination of the facts.

Furthermore, the minister addressed concerns raised regarding two MLAs' requests to withdraw complaints. He affirmed, "The complaint has been lodged, and now the investigation will commence. If any mistakes are found on their part, appropriate charges will be brought against them." He condemned their actions, stating that attempts to divide society are against the constitution, and emphasized the availability of evidence in the media.

There is a need to install cameras in the classroom and record the teaching sessions. This can serve in more than 1 way. Cameras will ensure that kids are safe in the classroom (no abuse, no extreme punishment, no bullying by senior students). Parents can access the sample recordings and assess the quality of teaching. Recordings can also serve has proof if someone raises questions on what has been taught at the school.

Oh Kokke Mamu, if anyone’s hand is cut or anyone is murdered there is law, investigating agency and judiciary to decide and punish. You don’t have to take law in your hand and incite others too to create law and order situation. Can you do anything good rather than rousing people’s emotions and creating a tense atmosphere to fish in troubled waters?????…..
