Mangaluru, Feb 3: A youth took their own life by jumping into the Phalguni river. The incident came to light in the evening on Friday February 2.
The deceased is identified as Chethan Poojary (28), a resident of Malali Matti Thimmottu.
Two days prior to the incident, he had left his scooter parked on the Gurpur bridge.
Concerned locals who noticed the scooter on the bridge on Friday evening promptly reported the matter to the police. Bajpe police arrived at the scene and are conducting further investigation.
