Kanpur, Feb 2: Prominent actress and internet sensation, Poonam Pandey, passed away last night at the age of 32, as confirmed by her team.

The cause of her demise was cervical cancer, and this sad news was conveyed through an Instagram post on Friday morning, stating that Poonam breathed her last on February 1 in Kanpur.

The offical statement on Instagram read, "This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared."

Poonam, known for her active participation in films and a significant presence on social media, had been a figure of controversy throughout her career.

Her notable moments included participating in the reality show 'Lock Upp,' hosted by Kangana Ranaut, where she didn't shy away from controversy. Poonam gained fame for her bold promise to go topless if her fans saved her from eviction during the show.

Poonam Pandey became widely known when she pledged to strip naked for the Indian cricket team if they emerged victorious in the 2011 Cricket World Cup. Cervical cancer patients don't die suddenly. As per chatter on social media, she was posting glamorous photos on social media and the news seems fake and a fake publicity stunt.

Kya dikhaayen zamaane ko jab woh zamaana bi jaayega ek din hamari tarah... Few go early few go later... There is no permanent home on earth for anyone of us,,, Everyone is a unique phase in this world... Better not to comment on anyone as we have more enemies within our own body than outside... RIP to the departed soul...

Cervical cancer is spread by Human Papilloma Virus, it it fully preventable by either avoiding multiple sexual partners ( applicable to both sides) so I always say Ek Gaadi, Ek Vaadi, Ek Baadi ( one car,one house, one spouse) or by taking a vaccine. Early Cervical cancer is fully curable with surgery.
