Bantwal, Jan 27: A lady teacher, along with her male colleague, tried to run the car over husband in a bid to kill him at Melkar of Bantwal. Husband is admitted to hospital due to chest pain.

The incident occurred on January 23. According to the complaint filed at town police station by Kishore Kumar Bolar, who is a photographer of a newspaper, a case is registered on teacher Shubha, wife of complainant Kishore and her male colleague Shivaprasad Shetty.

Shubha had applied for divorce from her husband Kishore and he brought stay on the same. In the meantime, Shubha also filed a complaint on her husband Kishore to vacate her apartment at Sara Arcade of Melkar. This case is subjudice.

When Kishore had gone to his house at Melkar on January 23, Shubha, Shivaprasad Shetty and other two goondas allegedly arrived at the apartment, threatened Kishore to vacate the house and also threatened to kill him.

In the meantime, accused Shivaprasad Shetty also reportedly said that he had registered his marriage with Shubha. When Shubha was trying to open the main door of the apartment, Kishore objected and he was allegedly assaulted by the three men accompanying Shubha. When the accused tried to escape in the Innova car, Kishore tried to stop them. In retaliation, Shivaprasad allegedly tried to kill Kishore by running over the car on him.

Kishore developed a chest pain due to the shock and assault and was admitted to Wenlock hospital. He returned home later. However, he got admitted to hospital again as the chest pain recurred.

According to details of a complaint filed by Kishore, he got married to Shubha in 2008. They have a 12-year-old daughter. Kishore bought an apartment at Sara Arcade of Melkar with his own money. He was living with his wife Shubha and daughter in the same apartment.

One day Kishore noticed a message which said, “Hai Muddu” on his wife’s mobile sent by her colleague Shivaprasad Shetty. This led to family feud and suspicion between husband and wife.

Shubha went to her parents’ house on May 13, 2021 and applied for divorce in the family court. However, Kishore brought a stay on the same from the high court. Later, Shubha filed a case on Kishore asking him to vacate the Melkar apartment. This case is under inquiry in court. In the wake of these developments, it is said that Shubha and Shivaprasad issued threat on the life of complainant Kishore.
