Udupi, Jan 26: In a devastating incident, a youth lost his life after the scooter he was riding collided with a bus traveling in the opposite direction.
The accident occurred at Pandubettu on the Karavali-Malpe road, late in the evening on Friday January 26.
According to sources, two youths, both employed in a restaurant chain in Manipal, were riding on a scooter when the unfortunate collision with the bus took place.
While one of the youths succumbed to his injuries on the spot, the other sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
