Jharkhand, Jan 25: While many UPSC aspirants opt for rigorous coaching classes to crack the exam, Saloni Verma successfully cleared it through self-study, securing an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 70.

Originally from Jamshedpur, Saloni has spent most of her life in Delhi. Following her graduation, she embarked on the journey of preparing for the UPSC examination. Despite not clearing the UPSC in her first attempt, Saloni achieved AIR 70 in her second attempt, all without the assistance of any coaching classes, relying solely on self-study.

According to Saloni, it is crucial for aspirants to identify the specific optional subject they are genuinely interested in and then tailor their preparations accordingly. She emphasizes that coaching is not a necessity, highlighting the effectiveness of self-study in achieving success in the UPSC exam.
