Mangaluru: National level medical imaging conference YENRAD 2023 held

Mangaluru, Dec 9: YENRAD 2023, a national level medical imaging conference held at Yenepoya (Deemed to be University).

The medical Imaging Technology unit of Yenepoya School of Allied Health Sciences organised a national-level medical imaging conference on the theme ‘Artificial Intelligence and Future Prospects of Medical Imaging’ in Yendurance zone, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) Mangaluru on December 9. 

More than 400 delegates from by all over the country participated in the conference. The event was presided by Dr B H Sripathi Rao, pro vice chancellor, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University). 

Dr Praveen Shastry, head of technical and clinical academics at Manipal Healthmap, head of clinical excellence - 5C network and director - Orange Diagnostics was the chief guest. 

Dr Habib Rahaman A A, professor-cum-medical superintendent of Yenepoya Medical College Hospital and Dr Ravichandra G, professor department of radiodiagnosis and medical imaging, Yenepoya Medical College Hospital were the guest of honour. 

Dr Sunita Saldanha, dean, Yenepoya Allied and Healthcare Professions welcomed the gathering and Vashist Baburao Mhalsekar, programme coordinator, MIT gave the vote of thanks.  

Oral presentations, poster presentations and quiz competitions were held for the participants and the prize winners were awarded. 

The organising committee included Dr Sunita Saldanha (organising chairperson), Vashsist Baburao Mhalsekar (organising secretary), Adithya G Rao (joint organizing secretary), Amita Digambar Dhabolkar (treasurer), Swati Kumari (convener), Shadhwan Musthafa Mohamed (joint convener), Renisha Divina D’Souza, Karthik S, Joswita Monterio (organising members).
