THIS IS A BIG WARNING (RED FLAG) TO THOSE YEARNING TO STAY IN THESE GLITZY MULTISTOREY BUILDINGS; PLEASE FIRST ASCERTAIN WHERE IS THE IMMEDIATE ESCAPE ROUTE IN CASE OF SUCH AN EMERGENCY? ALSO CHECK OUT WHETHER THE LOCAL FIRE CONTROL AGENCIES HAVE THE TECHNICAL EXPERTISE AND EQUIPMENT TO FIGHT FIRES AND RAPIDLY RESCUE PEOPLE IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENTAL 🔥! THE ABOVE IS JUST A PERSONAL OPINION; PLEASE DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS BEFORE JUMPING TO ANY CONCLUSIONS!!

Very unfortunate incident... Electrical wiring system has undergone a great improvement and nowadays contractors use reputed products... However we can never rule out such incidences as even a small error built up over a period of time can short the cables resulting in instant fire when there are easily flammable furniture come into contact... Lot can be spoken after the incident but once in a way these things happen... RIP to the departed soul...

In 2001 during the earthquake in Gujarat, I was at the hospital which has only 3 floors, we were at the first floor and came out immediately with the patients without a problem, as no surgery was going on,my family was in the house on the ground floor and comming out was not a problem. We get about 2-5 minutes and it was more than sufficient . What happened to multistoried buildings , we all know. During the Kobe earthquake 1995 in Japan even "quake proof" structures came crashing down.

@Monty; IMHO, quake proof structures are built to withstand shocks upto the Richter scale limits; shocks beyond that magnitude I wonder what would be the end result??
