Mumbai: Union Bank of India, Kannada Balaga celebrates Karnataka Rajyotsava

Mumbai, Nov 17: Union Bank of India, Kannada Balaga Mumbai unit celebrated Karnataka Rajyotsava at Mysure association auditorium, Matunga here on November 12, 2023.

Well known Janapada artiste, recipient of Karnataka state award, Siddappa Bidari praised Union Bank Kannada Balaga for celebrating Kannada festivals in Mumbai. Chief secretary of the Balaga, Arvind Hegde explained the intention of the Balaga. Office bearer Nithin Beelagi introduced Janapada artiste Siddappa who he said has become a household name in Uttar Kannada district by creating more than 1,400 Janapada poems.

Members of Kannada Balaga and author and dramatist Gopal Trasi were felicitated during the programme. Bank’s general manager Manjunath and Raghavendra took part and encouraged everyone.

Ravi Hosur and Nithin Beelagi compered the programme. Srathi Beelagi, Deepa Patil and team conducted sports competitions. Music, Bharatanatyam, comedy, dances etc. were performed as part of the cultural programme. Vijayakumar proposed a vote of thanks.
