Mangaluru: GSB Konkani movie 'Tarpana' to hit screens in December

Mangaluru, Nov 11: Devadas Nayak, an IT employee based in Mulky, has produced ‘Tarpana’, a GSB Konkani movie. The trailer of this movie has won the heart of scores of people.

This movie is based on an incident that takes place in a middle class family of GSB community. The movie is directed by Nayak himself. As there are English subtitles, cine goers of other languages also can watch the movie.

National and state award winners Om Productions and Malshi Pictures have also joined hands in this movie. Anuj Nayak is in the lead role. Renowned stage actor Sanjay Savkoor, Meera Naimpalli, Madhura Shenoy and Jayaprakash Bhat are in the cast. Some new artistes are also introduced in ‘Tarpana’. Cinematography is done by Mahesh D Pai and Kartik Mulky has composed the music.

The lyrics of songs in the movie and editing is handled by Devadas Nayak. ‘Tarpana’ will be an invaluable contribution to the literary world of Konkani language. The movie will be released in December.

    The story of the movie is exceptionally brilliant and it has similarity to present day generation attitude of children. I am eager to watch this and waiting for the release. I know Devdas Nayak personally and he is not only a great director also writer,music composer and lyricist. All the best for his team and a great success in all their ventures

    Love Konkani movies. Tulu movies and Konkani movies should be encouraged. They are mass and class entertainers. All the best to the film/artist community of tulunadu. We should support and promote local artists of tulunadu.
