Kasargod: CPM leader dies in accident involving two scooters, bus

Kasargod, Nov 6: Two scooters collided with each other, and a CPM leader was thrown from his vehicle, losing his life on the spot after a private bus ran over him in Bellur at Pallappadi on Monday, November 6, in the afternoon.

The deceased, Thimmappa (63) of Balavantadka in Bellur, was a local committee member of CPIM Bellur. He was en route from Balvantadka to his sister's house in Bellur on a scooter when another two-wheeler, approaching from the opposite direction, collided with him, flinging him onto the road.

Tragically, a private bus traveling from Kasaragod to Kinningar ran over Thimmappa's body. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. Another individual, Girish (32) of Kinningar, who was on another scooter, was admitted to the hospital.

The Adur police station has registered a case.

Following a post-mortem examination at Kasargod General Hospital, the deceased's body will be handed over to his relatives.

    Sad.Post martum ?when a body was under running bus and scooters,will e like a chapati.Sorry .And why post martum.?A new aera?May his soul rest in Peace.Nowadays lot of accidents on roads.Still people are not careful with scooters and bike.No control on speed.Heartfelt sympathy to the family.
