Doha, Nov 5: The Mangalore Cricket Club, MCC Qatar, one of the prominent socio-cultural organizations affiliated with the Indian Cultural Center under the aegis of the Indian Embassy in Doha, will host the highly anticipated event 'Sambhram-2023' at DPS-MIS Auditorium, Al Wakrah, Doha on Friday, November 10.

The event is scheduled to commence at 4:30 pm, with gates opening at 3:30 pm. Official posters for the event have already been released.

The event has generated significant interest among Konkani music enthusiasts, showcasing the immense love and support for Konkani art and music, along with a dedicated fanbase for the artists.

The much-anticipated mega event, 'Sambhram-2023,' will be hosted by Hera Pinto and Reena Castellino. With their engaging and dynamic stage presence, they adeptly guide the events, connect seamlessly with the audience, and create an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation.

The organizers are excited to entertain the audience with humorous comedy skits performed by the renowned duo from Daijiworld's 'Private Challenge,' Walter Nandalike and Tulunada Manikya Aravinda Bolar, along with captivating live music by Prajoth D’Sa, Lavita Lobo, Joel Attur, Ralph Crasta, Sandeep Roche, and Prajwal Fronteiro.

About 'Private Challenge'

'Private Challenge' is a popular Tulu television show on Daijiworld TV, which initiated a new trend in the coastal and Malnad regions. It was created to entertain viewers during the initial phase of the Covid-19 lockdown when normal sources of entertainment such as movies, drama, and Yakshagana were restricted. The show quickly gained popularity among people of all ages, genders, communities, castes, languages, and religions. Even school-going children eagerly awaited Sundays to watch the show. About the singers

Prajoth D'Sa, known for the hit 'Udi Udi,' is ready to captivate the audience with his enchanting voice. Popularly known as the "Sonu Nigam of Coastal Karnataka," Prajoth has lent his voice as a playback singer for Kannada, Tulu, and Konkani movies. Prajoth was consecutively nominated three times in the Best Singer – Male category at the Global Konkani Music Awards, Mangaluru, since 2013. In April 2016, he won the Best Male Singer and Best Song awards for his song 'Vaada Karo' at the 5th Artist Aloud Music Awards held in Mumbai.

Lavita Lobo, who won the 'Soad-2 Rani Kogul' Title and the 'Global Konkani Musical 2011 Best Female Singer' award, is known for her engaging and dynamic live performances. She is set to captivate the audience with her melodious voice. Lavita has also sung for the Kannada film 'Cobra,' performing the song 'Adheeraa,' composed by the legendary A R Rahman.

Together, this ensemble of dedicated and highly skilled artistes and musicians promises to create an unforgettable musical journey, leaving the audience captivated by their electrifying performances.

The evening will also feature captivating dances by the Doha Dance Squad, led and choreographed by Vijaya D'Souza, winner of the first-ever Gulf Baila Naach reality show.
