Udupi, Nov 4: The rope of the scale broke during Thulabhara ritual that was being held in honour of Sree Vishwaprasannatheertha Sripada at New Delhi. The pan of the scale fell down along with the rope. However, the seer escaped unhurt.

Clarifying on the incident, Pejawar seer confirmed the incident but said that there is no need for anyone to panic as he did not receive any injury.

District in-charge minister Laxmi Hebbalkar called personal assistant of Pejawar Seer and enquired about his health. She also prayed for long life and good health for the seer.

Thank heavens from saving the revered Swamiji from a potential disaster! Do the very highly devotional (who defy reason and scientific thought) think that this incident was some sort of a bad omen??

No individual or spiritual leader stands above the divine. This serves as a reminder, perhaps in light of potentially taking the wrong stance in the Soujanya rape and murder case. Regardless, it is advisable to employ reason and scientific considerations when organizing such gatherings. Is the strength of the rope sufficient to bear the Seer's weight? These are straightforward aspects that are frequently neglected as we place excessive importance on rituals beyond the fundamental essence of life, which I refer to as 'Love'
