Sullia: 5 including husband, in-laws held in Aishwarya's suicide case

Daijiworld Media Network - Sullia

Sullia, Nov 3: Police have arrested five persons in connection with the suicide of Aishwarya, wife of son of Dairy Rich Icecream owner. The arrested include Aishwarya's husband and in-laws.

Aishwarya's husband Rajesh, father-in-law Giriappa, mother-in-law Seetha, brother-in-law Vijaya and his wife Tasmai are those who have been arrested.

The police arrested five of them following a complaint filed with the Govindarajanagar police in Bengaluru by Aishwarya's mother.

Aishwarya was married to Rajesh, son of Giriappa five years ago and had completed her MBA from the US.

Aishwarya’s father Subramani’s brother-in-law Ravindra who worked as an auditor in Dairy Rich Ice cream company had helped in carrying forward this marriage proposal. However as Ravindra and Subramani families had some property dispute, Ravindra reportedly tried to project Aishwarya in bad light.

The husband and in-laws were reportedly harassing Aishwarya for dowry, which forced her to return to her parent's home three weeks ago following which she ended her life on October 26 after leaving a death note behind.

Police have registered cases against Ravindra, Geetha, Shalini and Omprakash for instigating harassment.

Dowry and wealth etc all cultural differences and temptations for someone’s hard earned money. Great culture lecture over lecture about culture given every corner of the world by hero’s to east to westt. This dowry hungry culture should be punished and punished forever.

Monty; times have changed drastically; today, the married woman is majorly skewed towards her parents, in all respects; seldom one would find someone who would act as if the in-laws were equal to or not more than her own parents 😔!! I can challenge you on this! The only Trump card the in-laws hold is their wealth and property, which keeps them to act otherwise!!
