Mangaluru, Sep 8: “I want to make my constituency a role model in the district. All types of basic facilities will be provided there including water, road and power other facilities. Development work will be done with a far vision in the upcoming days,” said state Assembly speaker and Mangaluru (Ullal) constituency MLA U T Khader.

Addressing media at the Circuit House on Friday, September 8, he said, “We have drawn a road map with a vision to develop the constituency by providing all types of basic facilities. Along with that, there should be a peaceful and harmonious society.”

He also said, “Electricity is very important for any work. The Ullal-Thokottu substation will be upgraded as a sub-division in the coming days. In this regard, I have held discussion with the minister of energy.”

He added that three section offices will be set up in the constituency to help the public in the administrative process.

“The government is planning to build a bridge from Sajipa to Thumbe. The proposal is under process and experts are studying the project. There is also a proposal to build a bridge from to Kotepura to Bolar. This will help reduce the traffic flow in the city,” he said.

Khader also said that there is a plan to construct a mini jetty in Kotepura.
