Mangaluru, Jun 21: The highly anticipated movie 'Kantara 2,' directed by actor-director Rishabh Shetty, is set to begin its shoot on August 27. The film will be produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda under the banner of Hombale Films.
It is important to note that 'Kantara 2' is a prequel and not a sequel to the original film 'Kantara.' The previous installment featured Rishabh Shetty, Sapthami Gowda, Kishore Kumar G, Pramod Shetty, Achyuth Kumar, and other talented actors in leading roles.
'Kantara' beautifully portrays the rich culture of Tulunadu, showcasing elements like Daivaradhane and offering glimpses of the exhilarating sport of Kambala. The blockbuster movie has garnered immense popularity, increasing the pride of Kannadigas worldwide.
With its phenomenal success, 'Kantara' had crossed the impressive mark of Rs 400 crore in global box office collections.
