Mangaluru: Speaker U T Khader takes time off, shoulders friend's brother's body to cremation

Mangaluru, Jun 4: The newly elected Speaker of Karnataka Legislative Assembly, U T Khader paid his last respects to deceased Sharath Kaajava (55), brother of Mudipu block Congress president Prashanth Kaajava. He participated in the last journey of the deceased person by helping the family in carrying the corpse of the deceased.

Sharath Kaajava, a progressive farmer and a resident of Mudipu Mithakodi died of cardiac arrest this morning. On learning of the death, Khader cancelled all his appointments for the day and left for Mithakodi to offer his condolences to the bereaved family. He participated in the final journey of the deceased person.

Sharath Kaajava was the son of Venkappa Kaajava, a progressive farmer and brother of Prashanth Kaajava who is also the working president of Naringana Kambala. Sharath Kaajava had worked relentlessly for many weeks to ensure the success of Kambala in Mithakodi. Even when his mother was ill he had gone ahead and organised Kambala successfully.

Sharath Kaajava is survived by his wife, a son and his family members.
