Mangaluru: Konkani film 'Vodthanthlem Ful' premiered in city

Mangaluru, Apr 12: The premiere show of the Konkani film ‘Vodthanthlem Ful’ directed by Melwin Elpel under the banner Baretto Production was held at Big Cinemas on Wednesday, April 12.

Superior general ursuline congregation Sr Millie Fernandes inaugurated the premiere show and Fr Benedict Montero blessed the show.

Speaking on the occasion, Sr Millie Fernandes said, "I have seen the gist of the movie which has a strong message to the society conveyed through the movie. I urge more number of people to publicise about the movie and share their good opinion about the movie on social media so that more number of audiences step into the theatres to watch the movie."

Managing director of Daijiworld Media Network Private Limited Walter Nandalike said, "Vodthanthlem Ful’ is a Konkani movie. After you watch the movie do not compare this movie with other movies. Konkani movies has a few limitations and the audience patronage is also quite low. Do not share negative opinion about the movie but instead encourage the director and producer so that they can come up with another movie in the future."

Renowned director Harry Fernandes Barkur, MCC Bank president Anil Lobo, Actor Stany Alvares, Jeevan Vas, producer Sunil Baretto, Nobert John, Lisha Cardoza, Oscar Fernandes, Sr Jacintha Baretto and others were present.

‘Vodthanthlem Ful’ is produced by Sunil Baretto while music is composed by Dolwin Kolalagiri and DOP is handled by Vijay S and Jason Danel.

The movie stars Lisha Cardoza, Oscar Fernandes and Sunitha Maria Pinto in the lead roles. Nobert John, Stany Alvares, Jeevan Vas, Santhosh Mulleria, Fr Cyril Lobo, Sr Jacintha Baretto, Harry Praveen Correa and many others are also seen in pivotal roles.

‘Vodthanthlem Ful’ is a family-oriented movie and focuses on creating social awareness and reflects the aspirations, hopes, contradictions and frustrations of children relating to their day-to-day struggles at home and in school.

The audio dubbing and mixing of the movie was done at Daijiworld Audio Visual Pvt Ltd, Mangaluru.

The movie will hit the theatres on April 14.
