Mumbai: Havyaka Welfare trust holds annual ladies convention

Mumbai, Mar 21: Havyaka Welfare trust Mumbai held their annual ladies convention at the Mysore Association auditorium, Matunga east on March 19.

Entrepreneur, social worker R G Bhat, chief guest inaugurated the programme. Havyaka Trust president Shivakumar P Bhagwath presided over the programme. Well known author Dr Girija Shastri, special invitee was on the dais. She said that the way we raise our children should change in order to get the feeling that men and women are equal.

Senior women of the Havyaka community were felicitated. Shivakumar Bhagwath gave a presidential address.

Matrimonial match making camp, Janapada song competitions and cultural programmes were held. Group of Sharada Vijapura female friends performed a skit. K G Bhat sang Janapada songs and young Shivank Joshi performed dances.

Rajath Hegde, Kavya Bhagwath and Tanuja Bhat were presented first, second and third prizes in Janapada song competitions. Aparna Bhat and Hema Hegde were the judges. Havyaka trust honorary chief secretary Narayana R Akadasa and others were present.

Ladies wing president Shanta Bhat welcomed. Havyaka monthly magazine honorary editor, advocate Amita S Bhagwath gave an introduction. Convener Chidananda Bhagwath gave details of the activities. Kala Bhagwath read the certificates of felicitation. Shashikala Hegde introduced the guests and compered the programme. Vishnu Kala Bhagwath congratulated the felicities. Shailaja Hegde rendered a vote of thanks.
