Mangaluru: Brass, bronze Idols found in bushes near Pumpwell-Kudkorigudde main road

Mangaluru, Mar 19: Brass and bronze idols of various gods and goddesses were found wrapped in a plastic bag and abandoned in bushes near the main road on Pumpwell-Kudkorigudde stretch.

The plastic bag contained two brass idols of Goddess Sharade, one measuring one inch in height and the other measuring 2.5 inches, one brass idol of Lord Ganesha measuring one inch in height, one brass idol of Nandi bull measuring one inch in height, a bronze idol of Lord Dattatreya measuring six inches in height, and a brass idol of Lord Naga measuring two inches in height.

The police have requested the rightful owner of the plastic bag to contact the east police station of the city with relevant documents to claim possession of the idols.

    May be someone wants to build a temple there ?Or one who stole these figures from some house was disturbed to take away.Wait for some time ,sure someone will come.(Or none)Why cant Police take finger prints from it and preserve it ?Suppose someone claims it can be later compare.?

    IF CONGRESS WAS IN POWER THERE WOULD BE DEMAND TO BUILD A TEMPLE THERE, CHANGE TO NAME OF THE ROAD TO THE IDOL .
