Mangaluru: Three arrested for Matka gambling, Rs 75,000 worth items seized

Mangaluru, Mar 16: Police arrested three people on the charges of playing matka gambling at the ground floor of a building near Ambedkar Circle in the city.

The arrested accused are identified as Praveen (33), a resident of Kotekar, Manoj George Noronha (43), a resident of Kudupu Nadumane and Rakesh (47), a resident of Gorigudde Nehru Road.

Rs 3000 cash, two mobile phones, two computers and other equipment used for the gambling game, the total value of which is Rs 75,000 is confiscated by the police.

Officers and personnel of central sub division carried out the operation under the leadership of ACP Mahesh Kumar.
