Two absconding accused arrested from Sullia, Bantwal

Sullia/Bantwal, Mar 10: Two absconding accused were arrested by Sullia and Bantwal police respectively on Thursday March 10.

Sullia police arrested Ashraf Ripwan, resident of Jattipalla, who was accused in car and bike theft, and absconding for the past four years without attending court hearing.

Ashraf was apprehended from Kannur of Kerala state. He was arrested in 2019 and was released on bail. Then he went underground in Kerala. The court had issued several warrants against him.

Bantwal rural police station personnel Ramesh who was absconding for the past three years without attending court hearing in relation to a case.

Ramesh is a native of Bikkodu in Hassan. Acting on tip off, police personnel Punit and Yogish, arrested Ramesh from Hassan and produced him in court. He was sent to judicial custody.
