Former Pakistan military ruler Pervez Musharraf passes away in Dubai

Islamabad, Feb 5 (IANS): Former Pakistan military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, who had been living in Dubai since 2016, breathed his last on Sunday, local media reported.

The 79-year-old former president and chief of army staff was suffering from amyloidosis, a rare disease caused by a build-up of an abnormal protein called amyloid in organs and tissues throughout the body, according to his family. The build-up of amyloid proteins (deposits) can make it difficult for the organs and tissues to work properly, The Express Tribune reported.

Musharraf assumed the post of Chief Executive after imposing martial law in the country in 1999 and served as the president of Pakistan from 2001 to 2008, The Express Tribune reported.

The former president's family moved from New Delhi to Karachi in 1947. He joined the Pakistan Army in 1964 and was a graduate of the Army Staff and Command College, Quetta.

My heartfelt condolences for the loss of Mr. Pervez Musharraf, It is the most difficult pain to go through and I have personally experienced this pain of losing my loved ones in death during the COVID pandemic. I read in an article that says "death is the most obviously permanent and extreme form of loss.” Nothing can lessen the pain but still we try to live on. I just want to assure you that God is definitely seeing your grief and the emotions people of Pakistan are going through. I found so much comfort to know that death affects him too. And so he has comforted us through his word the Quran . I would like to share those wonderful thoughts and a hope that made Pakistan strong . Sheikh Dawood & Fly,Sami Moehuddin Gulaam &fly.

Altaf. What is your question. Death is Applies to all but memories of that human being need a good remembrance of good work and kindness during thier lifetimes of others. Is this fellow has done anything better? Death is unavoidable without any bias,. Justifying bad work of such people makes no sense except we can say in English RIP

He will be remembered as a power hungry military dictator, credited for assuming power without any bloodshed; a warmonger who clandestinely plunged his country into war with India when both countries were moving towards the path of peace as a result of the untiring efforts of late ABV.
