Mangaluru: Padil-Hassan train route electrification – Rs 134 crore grant reserved in union budget

Mangaluru, Feb 4: In the union budget that was announced recently, under the railway department allocation of grants, Rs 134 crore is reserved for much expected Padil-Hassan train route electrification work.

An additional Rs 4.76 crore grant is also reserved for the work of construction fourth and fifth platforms at Mangaluru central railway station. The construction of these platforms was a long-standing demand, which was obstacle for the introduction of new trains.
