Mangaluru: Mortal remains of elderly woman found floating in sea at Ullal

Mangaluru, Feb 2: The body of an elderly woman was found at Ullal Mukkacheri sea shore here on Thursday, February 2.

The Ullal police have asked to contact them if there are any of her relatives or friends.

The lady is aged between 60-70 years. She was wearing a saree and was suspected to have fallen into the sea. A case in this connection is registered at Ullal police station.

The local people who saw the dead body floating behind summer sands informed Ullal police. The police, in turn, informed the Home Guard staff Prasad Suvarna, a resident of Mogaveera Patna. He swam into the sea and brought the lady's mortal remains ashore.

    May her soul rest in peace.I find it is very bad from Police to send a Moga veer to bring the body.why not criminal Police or who are serviced with this ?Mogaveer might bring ,but if any evidences or any finger prints on her incase someone murdered will be destroyed by a lay man .There should be special People to such cases.But they are not interested?They sent him as though to bring certain fish?

    Look at it this way, Jossy, instead of venting your venom. She might have committed suicide as no one iher family cared for her, or had abandoned her, and there was no one to take care of her during her lifetime, let alone leaving her when dead. RIP dear old lady. God will certainly have mercy on you.
